The BlastTac line offers superior protection for pressure testing blast containment areas. BlastTac is a leading line of blast resistant curtains and blankets providing ballistic, blast, frag and fire protection, is the perfect solution for blast containment testing. We offer five different series and 48 standard performance and custom levels. Our series include: AB (Aerospace), SB (Oil and Gas), CB (Industrial), MB (Military / Police) and FM (FireMax).

We engineer our blast resistant curtains and blankets with Core Matrix® technology which significantly reduces back-face trauma and eliminates layer counting, quilting and lamination. It is effective against both deformable and non-deformable threats, which are more prevalent and lethal than bullets. Core Matrix technology and ArmourCore™ technology combined provides for protection against all forms of blast and high-speed frag.

When fireproof protection is needed, FireMax technology is applicable to any series across the BlastTac line for additional high-temperature, arc flash, chemical and fire protection. FireMax is non-flammable as it will not burn, melt or ignite. Similarly, it will also shed molten metal, certain chemicals, flammable liquids and other molten substances. With a patented EPIC encapsulation, FireMax is also water resistant and durable in harsh weather conditions.

FireMax blast curtains and blast blankets are re-usable even after direct flame and extreme heat exposure. In addition to the existing ballistic, blast and frag protection capabilities. FireMax is certified to NFPA and ASTM standards. FireMax also offers its own line of FM series thermal blankets and curtains.

BlastTac® introduces the all new SB72FM Series of fireproof curtains and blankets customized for oil rigs. BlastTac in partnership with CarbonX®, a leading provider of flame-resistant (FR) fabric, has created FireMax– all new leading technology in fireproof protection, durability and heat transfer prevention. FireMax is applicable to each of the seven series across the BlastTac line, including the SB Series.

The SB72FM Series will survive fire, ballistics, high-speed frag, heat and arc flash using a single blast curtain. The SB Series is also applicable to a variety of extreme oil and gas applications including: high pressure blasts, ballistics, frag, fire and arc flash. SB72FM fireproof curtains and blankets are re-usable even after direct flame and extreme heat exposure.

FireMax 777 custom woven fabric is truly non-flammable as it will not burn, melt, or ignite. It also remarkably sheds molten metal, certain chemicals, flammable liquids and other molten substances. The patented EPIC encapsulation provides for a breathable and water resistant fabric, which is also suitable for harsh weather conditions. Similarly, FireMax material is lightweight, extremely durable, flexible and odor resistant. For fire protection alone, FireMax now offers its own line of FM Series thermal blankets and curtains, including our new FM77RC made exclusively for the oil and gas industry.

Ballistic Protection

The SB72FM Series is UL 752 tested to level 2+ in bullet resistance and .22 Cal., 17GR FSP V12 and 2-Grain RCC frag protection. Using 9853 Core Matrix® technology, the SB Series significantly reduces back-face trauma and absorbs the impact of ballistics and fragmentation. Core Matrix technology also eliminates the need for layer counting, quilting and lamination. Coupled with ArmourCore® 121 technology, it is effective against deformable and non-deformable threats, which are more common and lethal than bullets.

BlastTac® bulletproof curtains and blankets are designed to meet the demanding safety standards of a variety of applications. The BlastTac® line consists of seven different series including: AB, CB, SB, MB, FM, XB and PB.

BlastTac designed the AB Series for use in the aerospace industry. The AB Series is UL752 certified to levels 1, 2 and 3 in bullet resistance. We engineer AB Series bulletproof curtains and blankets with ArmourCore™ 132 technology for advanced protection against blast, ballistics and high-speed frag. In addition, Core Matrix Technology™ eliminates the need for layer counting, quilting and lamination.

BlastTac’s CB Series commercial and industrial blast curtains and blast blankets are effective against both deformable and non-deformable threats. CB Series bulletproof curtains and blankets use 9865 Matrix Technology™ and Unidirectional ArmourCore™ 121 technology to absorb the impact of bullets and fragmentation while significantly reducing back-face trauma. Similarly, the 1050 deiner, U.S. Military Grade ballistic nylon is durable and suitable for waterproof protection. They are lightweight, flexible and odor resistant.

For blast protection in the gas and oil industry, BlastTac created the SB Series. With manifold pressures running between 15,000 – 25,000 psi, the SB Series uses ArmourCore™ 127 for increased protection against ballistic and fragmentation threats. SB Series bulletproof curtains and blankets test to UL752 levels 1, 2 and 3 in bullet resistance.

We designed the MB Series as a result of increased threats of terrorism, shootings, IED’s and explosives affecting our police and military personnel. MB Series bulletproof curtains and blankets are Berry Amendment Compliant. They are also military grade and UL752 Certified to levels 2 and 3 in bullet resistance. The MB Series uses 9865 Matrix technology™ which significantly reduces back-face trauma.

FireMax® Fire Protection

FireMax is applicable to any of our series for additional high-temperature, arc flash, chemical and fire protection. For exclusively fire protection, FireMax offers its own line of FM Series thermal blankets and curtains. The FM Series is truly non-flammable as the custom woven fabric will not burn, melt, or ignite. BlastTac® introduces FireMax®, the all new cutting-edge technology in fire protection.

BlastTac is a leading manufacturer of blast blankets and blast curtains specializing in ballistic, blast, frag and fire protection. The BlastTac line consists of five different series of blast blankets and blast curtains including: AB, SB, CB, MB and FM.

BlastTac tailored the AB Series specifically to the aerospace industry. We engineer AB Series blast curtains and blast blankets using 9887 Core Matrix™ and ArmourCore™ 132 technology for ballistic and frag protection.

SB Series blast curtains and blast blankets are applicable to the oil and gas industry. Because manifold pressures run between 15,000 to 25,000 psi, we engineer the SB Series using 1050 deiner, U.S. Military grade ballistic nylon for enhanced durability.

Similarly, if you are exclusively looking for fire protection, FireMax now offers its own line of FM Series thermal blankets and curtains. The FM Series is truly non-flammable as our flame resistant curtains will not burn, melt, or ignite.

New BlastTac® XB Series Bulletproof Panels are Superior in Innovation and Performance.

XB Series ballistic panels are durable, long lasting, corrosion and fire resistant,. We offer three ballistic panel options including the standard panel, strike panel and advance strike panel. Each panel varies in arial density and thickness. The XB series is tested to UL752 level 4-10 in bullet resistance. Level 10 has the ability to survive the force of a 50-caliber gun. With a bulletproof exterior, our panels are also suitable for military force protection and military shelters. We also conducted an analysis of other competitive protection solutions. The XB Series out ranks steel and concrete in performance, adaptability and versatility. Steel and concrete cannot compete with our XB series, neither are stealthy or lightweight. Concrete does not meet standards for compact packaging, re-usability or trans portability and on the other hand steel is not corrosion resistant. Ultimately two seemingly effective protection solutions are ineffective in meeting standard protection requirements.
