BlastTac is a leading manufacturer of blast blankets and blast curtains specializing in ballistic, blast, frag and fire protection. The BlastTac line consists of five different series of blast blankets and blast curtains including: AB, SB, CB, MB and FM.
BlastTac tailored the AB Series specifically to the aerospace industry. We engineer AB Series blast curtains and blast blankets using 9887 Core Matrix™ and ArmourCore™ 132 technology for ballistic and frag protection.
SB Series blast curtains and blast blankets are applicable to the oil and gas industry. Because manifold pressures run between 15,000 to 25,000 psi, we engineer the SB Series using 1050 deiner, U.S. Military grade ballistic nylon for enhanced durability.
For commercial and industrial applications, the CB Series is UL752 certified to levels 1, 2 and 3 in bullet resistance. With high levels of flexibility, CB Series blast curtains and blast blankets are versatile against both deformable and non-deformable threats.
We created the MB Series for police and military personnel as a result of increased threats of terrorism, shootings, IEDs and explosives. MB Series blast curtains and blast blankets are Berry Amendment Compliant and superior in blast and ballistic protection performance.
Flame Resistant Curtains
BlastTac has partnered with CarbonX®, a leading provider of flame resistant (FR) fabric, to create FireMax for additional high-temperature, arc flash, chemical and fire protection. FireMax® fireproof protection is applicable to any of our series across the BlastTac line in addition to the existing ballistic, blast and frag protection capabilities. FireMax is certified to NFPA and ASTM standards.
Similarly, if you are exclusively looking for fire protection, FireMax now offers its own line of FM Series thermal blankets and curtains. The FM Series is truly non-flammable as our flame resistant curtains will not burn, melt, or ignite.
With patented encapsulation, FireMax is also water-resistant, breathable and suitable for harsh weather conditions. FireMax® flame resistant curtains shed molten metal, flammable liquids and other molten substances. They are re-usable even after direct flame and extreme heat exposure.
BlastTac® blast curtains and blast blankets are easy to use as they flexible, lightweight and easily transportable. They are certified and tested to UL752 ballistic and ASTM methods at Chesapeake Testing in Maryland. With standard features and a variety of options, BlastTac can meet any application.
