BlastTac® FireMax® SB72FM Fireproof Blast Curtains Customized for Oil Rigs
BlastTac® introduces the all new SB72FM Series of fireproof curtains and blankets customized for oil rigs. BlastTac in partnership with CarbonX®, a leading provider of flame-resistant (FR) fabric, has created FireMax– all new leading technology in fireproof protection, durability and heat transfer prevention. FireMax is applicable to each of the seven series across the BlastTac line, including the SB Series.
The SB72FM Series will survive fire, ballistics, high-speed frag, heat and arc flash using a single blast curtain. The SB Series is also applicable to a variety of extreme oil and gas applications including: high pressure blasts, ballistics, frag, fire and arc flash. SB72FM fireproof curtains and blankets are re-usable even after direct flame and extreme heat exposure.
FireMax 777 custom woven fabric is truly non-flammable as it will not burn, melt, or ignite. It also remarkably sheds molten metal, certain chemicals, flammable liquids and other molten substances. The patented EPIC encapsulation provides for a breathable and water resistant fabric, which is also suitable for harsh weather conditions. Similarly, FireMax material is lightweight, extremely durable, flexible and odor resistant. For fire protection alone, FireMax now offers its own line of FM Series thermal blankets and curtains, including our new FM77RC made exclusively for the oil and gas industry.
Ballistic Protection
The SB72FM Series is UL 752 tested to level 2+ in bullet resistance and .22 Cal., 17GR FSP V12 and 2-Grain RCC frag protection. Using 9853 Core Matrix® technology, the SB Series significantly reduces back-face trauma and absorbs the impact of ballistics and fragmentation. Core Matrix technology also eliminates the need for layer counting, quilting and lamination. Coupled with ArmourCore® 121 technology, it is effective against deformable and non-deformable threats, which are more common and lethal than bullets.
